All Points: Live 003

This Ship Argo & Lucy Bell Live – Friday 2nd December 2022 At The Harland & Wolff Staff Club.

After two successful live music & video showcases as part of the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival in St Joes Church, Sailor Town & in the Oh Yeah Music Centre for the Look North Festival, All Points: Arts returns with its third live instalment.

AP: Live 003 will bring together two amazing performers This Ship Argo & Lucy Bell, for an intimate evening of live music, this time in the historic surroundings of The Harland & Wolff Staff club in East Belfast.

This Ship Argo is the moniker of Aileen McKenna, an electronic music producer based in Belfast who combines synths, vocals and samples to create beautiful soundscapes. A prolific producer, This Ship Argo’s work is written, recorded, mixed, produced and mastered in her home studio. Aileen has released two albums, earning her a place in the final of the Northern Irish Music Prize Album of the year 2021, with Always the Bees: Never the Honey.

Aileen’s material has been championed by the likes of Daniel Avery and Hannah Peel, securing her a place in the Peel fronted Northern Ireland Electronic Workshop.

In addition to her solo work, Aileen has created scores to accompany films for the Cathedral Quarter Arts Festival and collaborated with Heliopause (Richard Davis) for Carl Theodor-Dreyer’s “The Passion of Joan of Arc”, which was performed live in both Belfast and Brighton.

Lucy Bell is a musician whose distinctive voice and folk tones bring a unique take to her pop style. Awarded Panarts Young Singer Songwriter of the Year in 2018, Lucy travelled to Nashville and performed in the famous Bluebird Café. She also performed at the Dalriada Festival as the ‘Rising Star of 2019’ to an audience of 10,000. Lucy has played support slots for Irish Musicians including Cara Dillon, Una Healy, Nathan Carter, Stocktons Wing & Malojian. Lucy has also performed in the round with Grammy Award Winners Benita Hill, Gary Nicholson & alongside Nashville Songwriter Tony Arata.

Timmy Stewart, Electronic Music Project Manager for All Points: Arts will also DJ on the evening.

Doors open at 9pm. Advance tickets priced at £6 are highly advised, due to the intimate capacity of this incredible venue.
